Tutorial 10 - Adding custom fields to the address book
 

 

In this tutorial we will add some custom fields to the address book.


Click here to find out the difference between custom fields and user-defined fields.



1. From the Address book in the previous lesson, click on the contact we have created and then on the Custom Fields tab.

The following dialog will open which will allow you to change the 5 custom field names.

Note that you can change the field names any time in future.

When you close the dialog you will notice that the field name on the main screen has also changed

To turn these fields on in the grid and use them for grouping, do the following

To group using the new fields do the following

If you exit the program now the view will automatically be saved.
