Email rules allow you to take action based on specific information that a incoming email message contains.

There are 2 basic types of email

1. Online Sale Message

This message is usually sent from online sales companies. Examples are

Share-it!

Regnow

2CheckOut

SWREG

Kagi

eBay

Amazon

Paypal

CRM-Express Professional and CRM-Express e-Sales can parse these messages and automatically add contacts, orders, products and items to the database. Sales are immediately available.

2. Normal Message

This can be any message e.g. emails from contacts, from web forms etc.

The following actions are available for a normal message:

Move message to

Copy message to

Forward message to

Reply with template

Move to Junk folder

Delete message

Unsubscribe from list

Parse to list

Parse to CSV file

Parsing web form emails and other emails

CRM-Express can parse emails and web form emails to email lists and CSV (Comma-separated values) files. The files can then be read by other programs e.g. Microsoft Excel.

To be able to parse the messages, the messages must be in a specific format. Below is an example of this format

Example

---- Email starts -----

This is a sample email that can be parsed to a CSV file in CRM-Express

Name::John

Surname::Stevens

---- Email ends -----

The format consists of the field name on the left and the field value on the right separated by 2 colons (:). The email can contain any other words or phrases. Only the field name and field value will be parsed. The email can contain any number of fields to be parsed

This is how the parsed file will look:

MyFile.csv

Name,Surname

John,Stevens
